The social media platforms blasted when the message read that people should refrain from taking "Paracetamol" tablets with the inscription "R/500" on the packaging because the drug contains a virus. The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan stated that such reports are groundless.
The Ministry emphasized that this information is a hoax, and patients may take the medication, based on a doctor's recommendation.
The Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Network also flashed and responded to the spread of the misinformation.
Apparently, reports about the presence of a virus called "Machupo" in "Paracetamol 500 mg" were also spread in 2021. At that time, the agency denied it, saying that the news of this content was created by Angolans in 2015, and then it was translated into other languages.
"Paracetamol 500 mg" has been tested by accredited certification bodies and is a product with a certificate of conformity.
