The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan developed the draft Code of Public Health and posted it for public discussion.
The code regulates relations in the healthcare sector to ensure the constitutional right of the people to use qualified medical services.
The main tasks of the code are:
- guaranteed rights of citizens to health care service by the state;
- safe, effective and high-quality medical care service;
- healthy lifestyle promotion;
- sanitary-epidemiological peace of the population;
- legal regulation of activities of state bodies, enterprises, institutions, organizations, and public associations in the field of public health care.
The Public Health Code consists of 5 chapters and 200 articles.
