December 22. At the end of the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan summit, the Turkic nations signed historical trade and investment agreements worth 8 billion dollars, Daryo correspondent reports.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev signed the agreement on the alliance and demarcation of the Uzbekistan-Kazakh state border including:
- Memorandum of understanding and cooperation on establishing a multimodal transport-logistics centre in Uzbekistan;
- Agreement on partnership in the production of mineral fertilizers in Uzbekistan;
- Agreement between "Uzbekneftgaz" JSC and "KazMunayGaz" JSC on oil supply to Uzbekistan;
- "Road map" for 2023-2024 on expanding cooperation between Tashkent region and Turkestan region of Kazakhstan;
- "Roadmap" for 2023-2024 on expanding cooperation between Jizzakh region and Turkestan region of Kazakhstan;
- "Roadmap" for 2023-2024 on expanding cooperation between Navoi region and Kyzylorda region of Kazakhstan;
- Protocol on amendments to the agreement on the conditions of mutual arrival and departure of citizens;
- Memorandum of understanding between the State Service Development Agency under the President of Uzbekistan and the State Service Agency of Kazakhstan;
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of ecology and environmental protection;
- Memorandum of understanding in the field of forestry;
- Memorandum on cooperation between the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of Uzbekistan and the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of Kazakhstan;
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of higher education and post-higher education;
- Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of electronic trade development;
- Agreement on establishing the international center of industrial cooperation "Central Asia".
