Tashkent metro on Monday (December 5) transported a record number of 620,000 passengers, which is 105,000 (21%) more than the daily average last week, the press service of subway reports. The message says that in December 2020, the Tashkent metro transported 240,000 passengers on a daily average, in December 2021 this figure reached 400,000.
The Metro administration called on passengers to comply with the rules for the use of the subway and show respect to other passengers.
The snowy weather and the temporary closure of the CNG filling stations affected the number of available taxi drivers in the capital on Monday, as many taxi consumers complained the morning fares on dominant taxi services were twice more expensive than usual. As the taxi drivers said, some could not fill up with regular gas, and others did not want to drive in such weather conditions.
