An emotional plea of Uzbek students studying at the Pskov State University in Russia to the Uzbek president to transfer their studies to their homeland has spread on social networks.
The youngsters said that the turbulent situation caused by the war in Russia is affecting the city of Pskov, and warning air sirens are sounding in the city.
"Our parents and we are worried about the situation, which is becoming more serious day by day. We ask you, please ensure our safety and help us get high-level education," the students' appeal reads.
At the beginning of October, Uzbek students studying in the Kursk region of Russia pleaded with the president asking for help in transferring their studies to Uzbekistan.
According to the statement of the State Commission No. 7, those students were permitted to transfer from the universities in Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Rostov and Krasnodar regions of Russia.
After that, Uzbek students in Crimea also requested the same leniency and were also granted transfer permission to the universities in Uzbekistan.
