Major General Vendul Hagler, Deputy Commander of the US Ground Forces Central Command, handed over 50 units of Polaris MRZR light tactical combat vehicles to the Special Operations forces of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, the US Embassy in Uzbekistan informs.
The Ministry's Central Military District Command and ground troops of the US Central Command solemnly participated "Increasing the capacity of partners" program of the US Department of Defense. The cars worth 2.8 million dollars each are part of the defence products donated by America to Uzbekistan.
"The delivery of this equipment is just one of the forms of assistance that the United States offers to Uzbekistan to contribute to the protection of its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. The United States looks forward to further developing our partnership, which has grown significantly over the past 31 years,” Major General Hagler said.
The Capacity Building Partners program has long served to build partnerships with foreign nations by providing military and technological training to enhance the capabilities of partner nations within each US geographic combatant command.
