Another illegal mining farm has been discovered in the Andijan region, the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office for Combating Economic Crimes reports.
According to the regulator, some 845 Bitmain mining devices were installed in the building of the production shop related to the cattle-breeding complex.
This mining farm has harmed the community by connecting its equipment to the electricity supply grid for general use.
A criminal case has been initiated against miners under article 185-2 ('On violation of the rules of use of electricity, heat, gas, water'). The investigation is underway.
According to the current procedure, all miners must register with the National Agency for Advanced Projects and pay a monthly fee of UZS 3mn (≈$270). In addition, they are charged an increased rate when using electricity from public networks.
