Samarkand Airport will temporarily suspend flights for technical reasons from November 8 to November 12. This was announced on Wednesday in the digital NOTAM system, the AviaAlertsUZ reports on telegram.
Samarkand, on November 11, is set to host a summit of the Organization of Turkic states consisting of member countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Hungary and Turkmenistan hold observer status.
Samarkand airport was closed for commercial passenger and cargo flights from September 14 to 16 due to the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the city.
