On October 25, employees of the waste management company "EcoCity" in Orlov, Russia, received military summons letters. According to the head of the firm, Yuriy Parakhin, there were 50 workers who had been conscripted into war, and half of them are citizens of Uzbekistan.
"Yesterday, most of the men of our company received the summons including the foreign country citizens. In fact, they are aware of being persecuted for participating in the war. This is in an absolute shamble. Law-enforcement agencies should immediately intervene in the problem," Parakhin said.
"We managed to solve this problem yesterday (October 25). Employees have returned to work and the enterprise continues its activities. The situation is still unclear. Why were subpoenas sent to my employees, especially those who are not Russian citizens? "Now law enforcement agencies and the prosecutor's office are dealing with this issue," said Parakhin.
Later, Orlov's military commissariat commented on the situation in which the citizens of Uzbekistan received a summons to participate in the war in Ukraine a day ago.
"EkoCity" OJSC did not keep a military account, did not compare the information of citizens in reserve, and did not submit the organization's registration form to the Orlov Military Commission. To date, not a single person from "EcoCity" OJSC has been drafted into the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces as part of partial mobilization," Alekhin Orel told the press service.
