"There are about 10,100 schools in Uzbekistan, where 5,2mn pupils study. Currently, about 3,000 schools do not have canteens. Through our national program, we have decided to bring the conditions in all schools to the same standard while creating 1,2mn places to eat in the next 5 years. Today, in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, a system of feeding primary classes free of charge at the expense of the state has been established. Later on, this system will be introduced in other regions. In addition, it is planned to build canteens in all schools and establish an outsourcing system," the minister said.
