Shoazim Minovarov, head of the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, said that the exhibition to be held in the Louvre Museum of France in November will be a big step in introducing Uzbekistan to the world.
"In 2018, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited France. This was his first visit to European countries. The fact that the first visit was to France has its symbolic aspect. Because both France and Uzbekistan attach great importance to cultural cooperation in their policies and cooperation with other countries. Although the visit to France was short, the president made time to visit the Louvre Museum. We all know that the Louvre is one of the largest museums in the world. Paris is called the center of world culture. The Louvre has a very important role here. I had the honor of accompanying our honorable president as a translator during his visit to the Louvre. The Louvre made a great impression on our honorable president. In general, the head of our country likes and appreciates art very much. An agreement was signed with the Louvre Museum to hold this year's exhibition. Time has passed very quickly since then. The name of the exhibition is called "The glory of the oases of Uzbekistan" and "On the caravan routes". We will bring our best antiques to the exhibition. Among them, the one we should emphasize is the Kattalangar Qur'an. It is assumed that this unique Qur'an belongs to the XVIII-XX centuries. The conducted carbon analysis lead to such a conclusion. But it may be even older. For this reason, there is great interest in this Qur'an throughout the world. In addition, we are carrying more than 320 of our best exhibits.
I think this exhibition will be very effective. Because cultural cooperation will make us more familiar to the French. 60 million tourists come to France a year. 10 million tourists visit the Louvre itself. These are people who value art and culture. In such a place, the exhibition of Uzbekistan until April will serve to make us more recognized, to increase interest in our country, culture, and history. This will be a great advertisement for Uzbekistan. Almost at the same time, an exhibition about the Great Silk Road will be organized at the Institute of the Arab World. The most original exhibits in our museums will also be displayed at this exhibition," said Shoazim Minovarov.
