By the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, adopted on October 5, the procedure for reimbursing part of the costs related to the purchase of renewable energy sources was approved, the Ministry of Energy reports.
Starting from October 1, 2022, individuals can purchase domestically produced solar and wind power plants and solar water heating devices with interest-free instalments for a period of three years. In addition, consumers can receive compensation when purchasing renewable energy devices at full cost.
The Off-Budget Intersectoral Energy Conservation Fund under the Ministry of Energy is tasked with providing incentives and preferences for the purchase of renewable energy sources.
The amount of compensation for the installation of a solar or wind power plant depends on their capacity:
- from 0.5 kW to 1 kW – 2,100,000 soums;
- From 1 kW to 1.5 kW - 3,000,000 soums;
- from 1.5 kW to 2 kW - 4,500,000 soums;
- 2 kW and above - 6,000,000 soums;
- 15,000,000 will be compensated for new land development and installation of water pumps for vertical wells supplied with electricity from renewable energy sources of 5 kW and above.
For solar water heating devices with a water heating volume of 100 liters and 200 litres, compensation is given in the amount of 1 500 000 soums and 2,100, 000 soums, respectively. State support for the introduction of renewable energy sources is carried out using the fund's single electronic platform (platform).
