On September 23, Uzbek diplomats met with the deputy chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council Marsudi Sukhud, "Dunyo" news agency reports.
The parties reached an agreement on the development of pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan with the support of the Indonesian Ulema Council by first organizing the trip of representatives of the Council to Uzbekistan.
The Indonesian Muslims noted that Uzbekistan is very famous for its historical attractions such as the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari in Samarkand.
Sukhud also stated that the Council is ready to promote Uzbekistan's pilgrimage tourism in the country and help organize "Umra+Uzbekistan" travel packages for Indonesian pilgrims.
