In order to increase the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, fully utilize the capabilities of the newly built Samarkand International Airport, and develop a competitive environment in the air transport market, the "Open Skies" regime will start operation at the Samarkand International Airport from October 1. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport.

The "Open Skies" regime permits foreign airlines fully utilize the Samarkand International Airport in accordance with the norms of international law.

Foreign aviation companies were informed about the introduction of a new procedure at the Samarkand International Airport.
