The production of electric cars will be launched at the enterprise in Fergana by the end of the year. "Daryo" reporter Azizjon Ermatov reports about this.
The khokim of the Fergana region, Khairullo Bozorov, visited Central Asia Motors located in the small industrial zone of the city of Fergana to study the feasibility of the production of electric cars and trucks.
It is estimated that the total cost of the project is around 50 million dollars where 40 million dollars account for foreign direct investments.
The officials predict to employ 350 jobs when the project is fully operational. Annual production of 10,000 electric cars will be launched, and 40% of it will be exported.
Also, the production of bodywork, charging stations, and battery spare parts will be produced according to the localization program.
The general director of the company, Bahadir Akhmedov, said that the production of e-vehicles will start before the end of this year.
