Samarkand will be provided with continuous medical care during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit hosted by Uzbekistan, between September 15-16, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
Medical assistance to be organized in Samarkand:
- providing emergency medical aid;
- providing ambulatory care;
- emergency medical care in a hospital.
About 50 ambulances and dozens of medical brigades have been deployed that will carry on serving as usual on emergency phone calls. In order to provide ambulatory care, all family polyclinics belonging to the Samarkand city medical association are working as usual from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The city medical centres with family doctors and 2 nurses have been assigned in every community which are fully equipped with first aid kits.
Qualified specialists working in regional hospitals are involved in providing specialized medical care to patients in need of conservative treatment in district hospitals. In addition, qualified specialists from regional hospitals are sent by mobile ambulance teams to district and city associations.
The special task force will be managing the medical service operation throughout the city and beyond.
