Trees on the territory of Karshi State University were illegally cut down, reports the "Ekologuz" Telegram channel.
The study detected that in January 2022, the university commandants and guards illegally cut down the valuable trees causing 238 million soums and 59 million soums of damage.
A commission from the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection studied the situation.
The Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection of Kashkadarya Region rejected the appeals of the university administration about tree cutting for the 3rd time. But still, the trees were cut down.
The saddest thing is that the petitioner received a message that as of August 12, 2022, the illegal cutting of valuable trees has been egregiously recurring.
