On August 15, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president’s press service informs.
The heads of the two most populous Turkic states talked about expanding multilateral cooperation and productive exchanges that are continuing at a high pace in accordance with high-level agreements.
The leaders also shared their full satisfaction with the results of the meeting of foreign, trade and transport ministers of Uzbekistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan held in Tashkent in early August.
They also exchanged views on issues of cooperation within international and regional structures, including the Organization of Turkic States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The head of Uzbekistan emphasized that the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, which are being held in Konya, Turkey, are organized at a high level.
