"Uzbekistan Railways" executives met with the members of the Russian train manufacturer Transmashholding in Tashkent.
At the meeting, it was noted that the successful 20 years of cooperation between "Uzbekistan Railways" and "Transmashholding" has resulted in delivering seven (3ES5K) series main freight electric locomotives and 45 metro cars for the Tashkent metro totalling 122.2 million US dollars.
"Since 2017, Uzbekistan Railways JSC has implemented seven major projects in cooperation with Transmashholding JSC. In particular, a high-quality liquor production plant was built in Tashkent at the expense of the private capital of "Transmashholding" JSC with a total value of 209 million US dollars. Also, a bridge was built in Navroz park in the capital. The construction of a multidisciplinary clinic in the city has been completed. This year, the fuel complex also started working at the airfield "Tashkent-Sharqiy," said the head of the joint-stock company.
Within the framework of the meeting, letters of gratitude were presented to the members of the Russian delegation Sergey Ivanov, Zafar Mukhamedov and Nikolay Yemelyanov for actively supporting and developing the railway industry of Uzbekistan. Khusnutdin Khasilov and the heads of structural units of Uzbekistan Railways JSC welcomed the participants.
