Acceptance of proposals for the draft law on amendments to the Constitution of Uzbekistan was stopped at 00:00 on August 1.
The draft of the constitutional law was put up for public discussion on July 25 meant to be for only 10 days. However, the members of the parliament found this period insufficient and added another decade. Later, it was decided to extend the discourse until August 1.
According to the press service of the Constitutional Commission, more than 117,000 proposals were received from citizens on July 30.
"The responsible committees of the Legislative Chamber will continue their work on summarizing, analyzing the proposals received from our people and improving the draft law," the press service of the commission said.
