"We all witness how the food shortage in the world is exacerbating. In particular, the export restrictions of the main producing countries and disruptions in transport and logistics are deepening the problems. According to the analysis, the price of food products in the world is expected to increase by at least 20% this year.
In our country, 40-50 percent of the population's income is spent on food products. Therefore, it is necessary to make accurate calculations and measures at the level of each neighborhood, district, and region to mitigate the impact of the above risks on our population," said the head of state.
This year:
• 80,000 hectares of arable land converted into grain fields;
• More than 3,000 "Tomorqa xizmati" facilities were created to provide services to households;
• 400 billion soums of preferential funds were allocated for the cultivation of products on the farm;
• 821,000 tons of fruits and vegetables exported in 6 months of this year;
• 785,000 people work on 64,000 hectares of land.
