Footage showing the construction of a ‘’dacha" (cottage) on the territory of the archaeological monument " Xo’jakenttepa shahristoni" of Bostonliq district has gone viral on social media networks and eventually sparked public outrage.
After this, the Agency of Cultural Heritage quickly posted information about this incident stating that construction works were being carried out without any legal permission which had been documented back in April 2022.
The papers were submitted to the regional prosecutor's office which is in charge of the case.
The archaeological monument "Xo’jakenttepa shahristoni" is located in Khojakent village, Bostonliq district, dates back to the 9th-12th centuries and has been included in the national register by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 4, 2019.
Also, this object is included in the state cadastre as an immovable object of material cultural heritage and is under state protection.
