On July 3, Shavkat Mirziyoyev flew back to Karakalpakstan and held a meeting with the members, veterans and activists at the Supreme Council of Karakalpakstan again where he asked the people to rally around and be united.
"In the dry part of the sea, green areas were created on an area of 1,733,000 hectares. A five-year national program for the restoration of flora and fauna of the archipelago is being developed. For the first time, the issue of development of the Aral Bay region has become a priority of state policy. We have always drawn the attention of the world community to the problem of the area from all international arenas.
I say with full confidence that the positive changes being implemented in Karakalpakstan will certainly be continued at a consistent pace. Because the fate of Karakalpakstan is the fate of Uzbekistan, the happiness and well-being of the Karakalpak people is the happiness and well-being of the entire Uzbek people.
I believe in the wisdom of the people of Karakalpak, who have experienced the ups and downs of life, and I call on them to act wisely, not to be deceived by various, including malicious actions from abroad, and not to become their victims.
Any actions that encourage separatism, civil disorder, and violent resistance to the authorities will be severely dealt with by the current legislation, and those responsible will be subject to inevitable punishment.
I am sure that the hard-working, wise, noble and tolerant people of Karakalpakstan will continue to cherish the sacred values based on the unity and integrity of the fate of the Uzbek and Karakalpak peoples.
What has happened calls us to be more alert and vigilant. In order to maintain peace in our land, and to ensure a bright future for our children and grandchildren, strong will, cohesion and unanimity are vital more than ever.
