President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed the people at a meeting with members and activists of the Supreme Council of Karakalpakstan.

As we all know, an important political process - a national discussion on the Constitutional amendments and supplements - continues.
Of course, our constitutional reforms are an issue of great importance for the current and future life of our country.
In the discussions, our multi-ethnic people express their many suggestions and recommendations.
It should be noted that the announced draft constitutional law "On Amendments and Additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan" will be subject to public discussion. After that, it will be improved by the Legislative Chamber based on the opinions and comments expressed by the citizens.
Then this project will be put to the referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and our citizens will express their will on this issue via referendum.
Only after that, the amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan will become legal."
