A man trying to enrol in a neighbouring state institute has been detained in Tashkent's Almazar district, according to the Prosecutor General's Office.
The Almazar district branch of the department, under the Prosecutor General's Office, has caught red-handed a man while he was receiving $ 3,200 from a victim to be admitted to the Pedagogical Institute in Tajikistan and facilitated him in transferring to a university in Uzbekistan.
The department has charged him with Articles 168 (fraud) and 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code.
Earlier, a person who took a bribe of $ 10,000 to enrol two people in Kashkadarya was arrested, and a person who received $ 10,000 to enrol in the Tashkent Medical Academy was detained in Fergana.
