On June 24, The Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Norbaeva had talks with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Baghdad Amreyev, the press service of the Senate reports.
Amreyev noted the large-scale changes taking place in the country in the field of state and society building, improving the business and entrepreneurial environment since joining the Organization in 2019. He praised the measures taken to strengthen friendly relations with the countries, as well as to strengthen cooperation within the Organization of Turkish States.
The meeting was organized within the framework of the Uzbek delegation's participation in the XI Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking States (TurkPA),
The sides also discussed the implementation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's initiative to strengthen the role of the organization in strengthening trade, economic and investment ties between the OST member states, in particular, the establishment of the Turkish Development Bank.
The officials reached to complete the work for the establishment of the Turkish Investment Fund, which is scheduled to be officially established in the autumn of 2022 as part of the OST summit in Tashkent.
