Kazakhstan's efforts to aid Moldova's railway modernization have progressed with the arrival of a second shipment of rails, essential for vital infrastructure repairs. This latest batch weighs 1,433 tons and reached the port of Giurgiulești on September 29. This delivery follows an earlier shipment that initiated the railway modernization project in the country.
The overhaul focuses on a 233-kilometer route, specifically the Bender-Basarabaska-Etulia-Giurgiulești section, managed by Temirzhon Zhondeu, a Kazakhstan-based company. The introduction of these new rails is crucial for replacing outdated infrastructure, significantly enhancing safety and expediting transportation.
As a result of this project, Moldova anticipates substantial improvements to its logistics network. The modernization of key railway sections will facilitate safer and faster freight and passenger transport throughout the country.
Kazakhstan's rail deliveries play a pivotal role in restoring Moldova’s railway infrastructure. The collaboration between Kazakhstan and Moldova ensures high-quality, timely repairs, which are particularly important for enhancing international logistics and reinforcing transport connections across the region.
