Uz-Kor Gas Chemical, a joint venture between Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz and a consortium of South Korean companies, has announced a competitive selection process for the procurement of oils. The tender, registered as Competitive Selection No. CS-228/2024, is open for domestic suppliers, with the deadline set for October 4, 2024, at 15:00 Tashkent time.
The company invites all eligible suppliers from Uzbekistan to participate, adhering to the requirements outlined in Appendix No. 1 of the tender document. However, certain suppliers are ineligible for participation, including those currently undergoing reorganization, liquidation, or bankruptcy, as well as those who have failed to fulfill previous contractual obligations or provide necessary documentation on time. Additionally, suppliers involved in litigation with Uz-Kor Gas Chemical and non-residents of Uzbekistan are also excluded from the tender.
The joint venture (Uz-Kor Gas Chemical) was established on a parity basis between Uzbekistan’s National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz and a consortium of Korean companies. This collaboration has resulted in one of the largest investments by Korean companies in the Central Asian region, stressing the strong economic ties between the two nations. The project plays a crucial role in boosting Uzbekistan’s gas chemical industry and fostering long-term industrial growth.
Suppliers interested in the tender are encouraged to submit their proposals within the specified timeline, with hopes of forging long-term partnerships with Uz-Kor Gas Chemical.
