During the 79th session of the UN General Assembly held in New York on September 27, Kyrgyzstan and Venezuela signed a visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports. The agreement was formalized by Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto.
Both ministers emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations and explored avenues for cooperation between the two nations. The discussion centred on potential partnerships in various sectors, with an agreement to continue strengthening dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and Venezuela.
The foreign ministers reiterated their commitment to continued cooperation within the framework of international organizations. Special attention was given to Kyrgyzstan’s candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2027-2028 term, with both countries recognizing the significance of maintaining strong multilateral ties.
In addition, Foreign Minister Kulubaev highlighted Kyrgyzstan's broader interest in developing relations with Latin American countries, signalling future opportunities for cooperation in diplomatic and economic matters.
