In a recent statement, Andrei Klimov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, addressed comments made by Alisher Kadyrov, leader of the Central Council of the Democratic Party "Milliy Tiklanish." Kadyrov had reacted to a request from the Russian Foreign Ministry concerning a conflict involving a teacher and a student during a Russian language lesson in Tashkent, suggesting that Russia should "mind its own business."
Klimov warned Kadyrov by referencing the plight of a particular country that had similarly dismissed external concerns in the past, now facing severe difficulties.
"There was already one country that behaved this way for quite a long time. Now it finds itself in a very difficult situation," he stated, stressing the need for caution in handling interethnic relations.
The incident at the center of this dispute involved a video that surfaced online, showing a Russian language teacher at School No. 188 in Tashkent physically striking a boy during class. Reports suggest that the confrontation arose when the student requested explanations in Russian.
“It would be better for them [Russia] to deal with their own problems rather than bothering us about our internal affairs," Alisher Kadyrov leader of Milliy Tiklanish

Following the incident, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, urged Uzbekistan to address the harsh treatment of the Russian-speaking child. In response, Kadyrov emphasized Uzbekistan's sovereignty, advising Russia to refrain from interfering in internal affairs and to focus on resolving its own challenges.
Other Uzbek officials also weighed in on the matter. The rector of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, Sherzodkhon Kudratkhodja condemned the teacher's violent behavior but expressed disapproval of external attempts to frame the incident as an interethnic issue. Similarly, Rasul Kusherbayev proposed including Zakharova on a list of undesirable individuals in Uzbekistan, further complicating diplomatic relations between the two nations.
