As part of the first Uzbek-Italian educational forum, the "Italy-Uzbekistan Advanced Engineering Center" was inaugurated at the Polytechnic University of Turin in Tashkent. The opening ceremony highlighted the center's role in fostering cooperation between the two countries in advanced technology sectors.
The center will introduce innovative technologies from Italy to enhance Uzbekistan's mechanical engineering, textile, and leather industries. By providing a platform for pilot projects and disseminating specialized information, the center aims to support the development of joint ventures and investments between Italy and Uzbekistan. This initiative will create new infrastructure and business opportunities for private companies in both countries.
Students will benefit from hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art material and technical environment, allowing them to sharpen their practical skills. The center will also focus on training highly qualified personnel and offering opportunities for young professionals to engage in scientific and innovative research, particularly in export product manufacturing.
In addition to fostering educational growth, the center will study and address key challenges in Uzbekistan's textile, leather, and machine-building industries, offering practical solutions and advancing the country's industrial capabilities.
