The trade turnover volume between Uzbekistan and Italy amounted to $114 mn in 1Q24. This figure indicates a slight decrease of 0.44% compared to the same period in 2023, which recorded a turnover of $114.5 mn.
Italy ranked 18th among the countries with the largest volume of foreign trade turnover in Uzbekistan. The volume of exports to Italy reached $11.3 mn, while imports to Uzbekistan from Italy amounted to $102.7 mn during the same period in 2024.
In January-February 2024, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Italy was $80.5 mn, slightly lower than the $69.5 mn recorded in the same period in 2023, which represented a growth of 15.8%.
Earlier, Daryo reported that Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with Central Asian countries amounted to $1.4 bn in 1Q4. This figure represents a 17.6% decrease compared to the same period in 2023, which saw a turnover of $1.7 bn.
In the structure of trade turnover with Central Asian countries, Uzbekistan's exports totalled almost $523 mn from January through March 2024, a decrease of 19.5% from the $657.4 mn recorded in 1Q23. Imports from Central Asian countries also declined, reaching nearly $955 mn, down 13.1% from $1.1 bn in the same period last year.
