The National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan (NES) is exploring the potential implementation of the RS-20 technological management platform, developed by Russia's Rosseti group. This announcement came during a recent presentation of the software package in Tashkent, part of a visit by a Russian delegation.
The RS-20 platform, already in use in Russia and Belarus, was introduced to NES as part of ongoing collaborations following agreements made between Rosseti's CEO, Andrei Ryumin, and NES head, Dadajon Isakulov, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June 2024.
Rosseti describes RS-20 as an integration platform designed to address issues of data fragmentation and unify information exchange within a single model for the energy sector. The system automates both technological and business processes, enhancing operational efficiency.
The presentation also covered how RS-20 could be adapted to meet the specific needs of NES Uzbekistan. Rosseti's platform developer, Rosseti ASTU, is prepared to create standards, regulations, and implementation roadmaps tailored to Uzbekistan's requirements.
In Russia, the RS-20 platform is a major initiative within the industrial competence center "Electric Power Engineering," overseen by Andrei Ryumin. The platform has also been adopted by Belarusian companies, including Brestenergo, Gomelenergo, Grodnoenergo, and Minskenergo.
Rosseti, one of the world's largest electric grid companies, operates 45 subsidiaries and affiliates, including major grid companies such as Rosseti Center, Rosseti Center and Volga Region, Rosseti Moscow Region, and Rosseti Lenenergo.
