The NSIA has also opened five Asan Khedmat service centers across the country, including three in Kabul and two in Khost and Kandahar. These centers provide essential services such as E-tazkiras and birth cards, with plans to extend services abroad, including a newly activated center in Abu Dhabi.
Deputy Director Asmatullah Hakimi highlighted that the NSIA's annual population estimate for 2023 placed Afghanistan's population at 35.7mn, with 18.2mn males and 17.5mn females. The report also covered surveys, including a food security assessment and a multi-indicator cluster survey focusing on mother and child health.
In addition, Abdul Mateen Salik reported on the aerial survey of approximately 310,000 solar wells across 26 provinces and noted that 30,000 hectares of land have been developed in urban areas, with significant construction in Kabul, Kandahar, Nangarhar, Helmand, and Ghazni.
Jehadgul Pasoon provided updates on the service centers, including new locations in Shar E Now and Serai Shamali, with plans to expand to Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
