The President of Uzbekistan has signed a decree to increase salaries, pensions, and allowances across the country. These changes are set to begin on September 1, with additional adjustments scheduled for October 1.
Starting from September 1, pensions and allowances will rise by 15%. The new rates will include a basic calculation amount of UZS 428,000 ($34) per month for pensions. The minimum old-age pension will be adjusted to UZS 834,000 ($66) per month, while the minimum disability pension will be set at UZS 920,000 ($73) per month.
Further changes will take effect on October 1, specifically targeting salaries within budgetary organizations. Medical workers, as well as teaching staff in preschools, general education, secondary special, professional, and extracurricular educational institutions, including "Muruvvat" boarding houses, orphanages, and children's sanatoriums, will see a 15% increase in their salaries. Other employees in budgetary organizations will receive a 10% salary increase.
In conjunction with these adjustments, the minimum wage in Uzbekistan will be set at UZS 1.2mn (over $90) per month, and the basic calculation amount will be standardized at UZS 375,000 ($30).
