The video of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games has been deleted from YouTube following widespread public outrage over the performances presented during the event, SOTT reported.
The removal of the video marks an unprecedented event in the history of the Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has yet to comment on the reasons or the entity responsible for the video's deletion.
One of the performances that sparked controversy was based on Leonardo Da Vinci's "The Last Supper," depicting Jesus Christ seated with his disciples before his crucifixion. Many viewers criticized the portrayal, claiming it violated Christian traditions and insulted the figure of Jesus Christ.
U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson expressed his frustration with the anti-Christian display on Twitter.
Last night’s mockery of the Last Supper was shocking and insulting to Christian people around the world who watched the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

The inclusion of the ancient Greek god Dionysus alongside Jesus and his disciples further intensified the backlash, as it was seen as a disrespectful blending of religious symbols.
Social media erupted with criticism towards the organizers, with many accusing them of offensive attitudes towards faith. French bishops condemned the opening ceremony as "deplorable," stating that it dishonored the French Christian Church.
"This ceremony unfortunately included scenes of derision and mockery of Christianity, which we deeply deplore," said the Catholic administration in Paris in a statement.
