Uzbekistan showcases investment opportunities at Nanjing forum, boosts cooperation with Jiangsu Province

Uzbekistan showcased its investment potential and priority development sectors at a large-scale roadshow and business forum held on April 29 in the Chinese city of Nanjing.



The event brought together leading companies from the People’s Republic of China and was attended by a delegation led by Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Organized by the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Export-Import Bank of China, the forum gathered executives and experts from more than 70 major Chinese corporations, including firms ranked among China’s top 500.
During the presentation, participants were introduced to Uzbekistan’s industrial capacity and investment opportunities, with particular focus on the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Jizzakh region, and the city of Tashkent.
Chinese partners also provided updates on the progress of ongoing projects in Uzbekistan. The meeting served as a platform to further strengthen economic cooperation and encourage new capital inflows into key sectors of the economy.

In a separate engagement, Ilzat Kasimov led talks with Zhao Yan, Deputy Governor of Jiangsu Province, in Nanjing.
The discussions centered on expanding trade and economic cooperation, as well as strengthening investment ties between Uzbekistan’s regions and Jiangsu Province. Both sides expressed interest in developing industrial cooperation, establishing high-tech manufacturing facilities, and advancing joint investment projects.
The parties also highlighted preparations for the Third Uzbekistan–China Interregional Forum, scheduled for May 20–22 in Xi’an, where Jiangsu Province is expected to participate actively.
