Following bilateral negotiations, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, participated in the launching ceremony of several important cooperation projects, on July 18.
Solar Power Stations in Fergana and Namangan
One of the key projects initiated is the construction of two solar power stations in Uzbekistan's Fergana and Namangan regions. These stations, with a combined capacity of 400 megawatts, will supply electricity to Kyrgyzstan.
Automotive Manufacturing in Chuy Region
In the Chuy region of Kyrgyzstan, a factory for the production of modern cars and commercial equipment has been launched. This facility will assemble popular car models such as "Kobalt", "Onyx", and "Treker", as well as various trucks. The establishment of this factory is expected to meet the growing demand for vehicles in the region and create job opportunities.
Textile Production in Kara-Balta
Additionally, in the city of Kara-Balta, the production of sewing and knitting products and fabric has commenced. The enterprise is equipped with modern technological equipment, ensuring high-quality output.
During the launching ceremony, Presidents Mirziyoyev and Japarov highlighted the importance of these initiatives in fostering cooperation and reinforcing economic ties between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
President Mirziyoyev emphasized that the solar power projects are a step towards renewable energy and environmental sustainability. He also noted that the collaboration in the automotive and textile sectors would contribute to industrial growth and economic diversification.
