Poland and Uzbekistan have agreed to develop a draft intergovernmental agreement focused on labor migration, according to Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers.

During a meeting between Bekhzod Musayev, head of the Migration Agency, and Michał Kaminski, vice-speaker of the Polish Senate, discussions centered on organizing the dispatch of Uzbek workers to Poland. Kaminski highlighted the growing demand for labor in Poland and other European countries due to demographic changes.
"There are many talented young people in Uzbekistan, and the system of teaching foreign languages and in-demand professions is well-established," Kaminski emphasized.
The two sides discussed initiatives to train and retrain citizens of Uzbekistan for high-paying positions in Polish companies. They also explored potential solutions to simplify visa procedures and launch special programs to facilitate seasonal work opportunities for Uzbek nationals.

This move follows a similar agreement Uzbekistan reached with Austria in March to address labor migration issues. Additionally, the Uzbek government is in talks with South Korea to streamline visa processes for workers.
Uzbekistan and Germany also approved a labor migration agreement, signed in September 2024 during German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's visit to Uzbekistan. This agreement facilitates easier entry for Uzbek specialists into Germany.
Earlier, Uzbek butchers were offered job opportunities in Germany with a monthly salary of €1,750. In partnership with The International People Placement GmbH & Co. KG, 150 vacancies are available in the butchery sector, with positions requiring a 44-hour work week and open to qualified male candidates.
