The Sino-Kazakh logistics terminal in Lianyungang port hosted an official ceremony to launch a pilot train on the Korea-China-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan route on June 26, as per to reports from the press service of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, the Kazakh railway company.
The train, loaded with automobile spare parts, will cover a distance of 7,000 kilometers. This initiative is expected to open new avenues for economic cooperation and trade among the participating nations. The route through Kazakhstan is operated by KTZ Express, whose Deputy General Director for Commerce, Ulugbek Orazov, delivered a welcoming speech at the ceremony.
“The launch of the pilot train demonstrates our shared commitment to developing joint multimodal transport, which will certainly open up new horizons for trade and interaction in our regions,” Orazov remarked.
This pilot train is not just a transport initiative; it represents a strategic effort to boost the transit potential of Kazakhstan, positioning it as a key transport hub in the international supply chain.
