At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh will undertake a state visit to Uzbekistan from June 23-26.
The visit will feature high-level negotiations in Tashkent, where President Mirziyoyev and President Khürelsükh will discuss a wide range of issues aimed at enhancing the Uzbekistan-Mongolia friendship and expanding multilateral cooperation. The agenda includes developing a constructive political dialogue and fostering inter-parliamentary relations between the two nations.
Key areas of cooperation to be discussed include:
- Trade: Increasing the volume of bilateral trade.
- Mining: Implementing joint projects in the mining sector.
- Agriculture and Livestock: Enhancing cooperation in agriculture and livestock industries.
- Industry and Healthcare: Developing partnerships in light industry and healthcare.
- Transport and Logistics: Improving transport and logistics links between the two countries.
- Cultural and Tourism Exchange: Promoting cultural-humanitarian relations and boosting tourism.
The summit is expected to conclude with the adoption of several intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents, which will formalize the agreements reached during the visit. These documents aim to solidify the commitments made by both countries in various sectors.
As part of the state visit, a meeting will be held between the Presidents and representatives of leading companies and business circles from both countries. This meeting aims to foster economic collaboration and explore new business opportunities.
President Khürelsükh's visit will also include a trip to the historic city of Khiva. Here, he will have the opportunity to experience the rich cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan, further enhancing the cultural ties between the two nations.
