Representatives from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan have joined forces to push forward preparations for the construction of the Kambarata HPP-1 hydroelectric power plant (HPP), as announced by the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Energy.
The agreement was formalized during the Kyrgyz Energy Forum held in Vienna, where heads of energy departments from the three countries convened. Facilitated by the World Bank and commencing on June 10, the forum aimed to showcase the energy sector of Kyrgyzstan and attract investments.
With over 200 attendees, including delegates from the participating countries, Austria, France, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, and international financial organizations, the forum underscores the importance of collaboration in the energy sector.
The Kambarata HPP-1, slated to be Kyrgyzstan's largest power plant, is envisioned to supply energy to neighboring states.
