Uzbekistan Airports has signed a cooperation agreement on June 11, with the Italian company EU Wings Srl to provide line maintenance for various aircraft at several international airports in Uzbekistan. This partnership aims to enhance aircraft maintenance services at Tashkent, Bukhara, Navoi, Urgench, Namangan, and Fergana airports.
Under the terms of the agreement, EU Wings Srl will provide line maintenance services for a range of aircraft types, including Airbus models 319, 320, 321, 330, Boeing models 737, 767, 777, 787, Embraer RJ 170/190, and ATR 42/72. These services will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of the airlines operating at these airports. This collaboration is expected to attract new foreign air carriers to Uzbekistan's airports.
The agreement is anticipated to provide economic benefits by enhancing maintenance capabilities at key airports, attracting more international airlines, and creating new job opportunities.
The cooperation between Uzbekistan Airports and EU Wings Srl began on March 26, 2024, with the signing of a memorandum of understanding during the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) Central Asia conference and exhibition in Tashkent.
