IT Park and South Korean D.Camp to foster Uzbekistan's startup ecosystem
IT Park of Uzbekistan has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the prominent South Korean startup hub D.Camp. The agreement, which underscores the mutual commitment to advancing the startup ecosystem, was confirmed by the press service of the technology park on April 26.
During a recent business trip to Korea, Makhliyo Muksinova, IT Park's Director for the Development of Export of Services, engaged in discussions with representatives of D.Camp. The fruitful dialogue centered on exploring avenues for joint initiatives aimed at creating conducive environments for technological advancement.
The partnership with D.Camp is anticipated to serve as a catalyst for disseminating information regarding incentives and support mechanisms available to the IT sector in Uzbekistan. Moreover, IT Park seeks to leverage this collaboration to attract South Korean technology firms, encouraging them to establish offices and engage in outsourcing activities within Uzbekistan.
In addition to the agreement with D.Camp, IT Park has also solidified a partnership with the Korean Institute of International Industrial Cooperation. This collaboration will see the involvement of the institute in projects aimed at scaling business process outsourcing (BPO) activities. Furthermore, it will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise with South Korean experts, further enhancing Uzbekistan's technological landscape.
Earlier Daryo reported that South Korean company WiseStone intends to establish a presence in Uzbekistan, drawn by the widespread use of the Korean language in the region and its robust infrastructure, which positions it as an appealing location for international businesses.
