South Korean WiseStone plans to open office in Uzbekistan
A meeting between representatives from Uzbekistan's IT Park and executives from WiseStone, a prominent South Korean enterprise, on APril 23, has shed light on the burgeoning potential for collaboration between the two entities. Led by Mahliyo Muksinova, Director of Export Services Development at IT Park, the delegation engaged in discussions with Yeong-Seok Lee, the founder and CEO of WiseStone, along with In-Suk Kim, CEO of WiseStone-T, and Sungjoom Lim, a representative of KOIIA.
One notable proposal put forward during the discussions was the consideration of the Fergana Valley as a potential location for WiseStone's future office. This suggestion was made due to the region's high penetration of the Korean language and well-developed infrastructure, making it an attractive destination for foreign enterprises.
Additionally, IT Park presented details of its supportive programs, with particular emphasis on the Zero Risk program. This initiative aids foreign enterprises in entering the Uzbek market with minimal risk, offering comprehensive backing from IT Park to facilitate smooth market entry and operations.
Mr. Yeong-Seok expressed optimism about Uzbekistan's growing appeal to foreign players in the IT sector. He highlighted the country's supportive programs across various spheres of activity and abundant human capital as catalysts for business expansion. He also expressed intentions to visit Uzbekistan personally in the near future to gain deeper insights into the country's IT landscape and human resource potential before making a definitive decision regarding market entry.
