In a stride towards bolstering bilateral relations, the International Institute of Central Asia (IICA) and the Center for Strategic Research under the president of Tajikistan (CSR) have inked an Action Plan for 2024. IICA reported. The pact was signed during a meeting between the heads of the respective think tanks, Director Javlon Vakhabov of IICA and Director Khairiddin Usmonzoda of CSR, held in Dushanbe.
The Action Plan for 2024 outlines a roadmap for enhancing collaboration through various channels, including reciprocal visits, expert participation in international conferences, and regular bilateral consultations. This signifies the commitment of both parties to further deepen research cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
At the outset of the meeting, Vakhabov and Usmonzoda lauded the strong and friendly relations existing between the two nations, underscoring the mutual benefits derived from their continued development. Usmonzoda emphasized the pivotal role of leadership in fostering such cooperation, attributing the progress to the concerted efforts of leaders from both countries.
Central to the discussions was the imperative of strengthening comprehensive interaction and cooperation within the expert and analytical communities of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The forthcoming conference slated to be held in Dushanbe, featuring representatives from leading research and analytical institutions of both nations, received special attention. The conference aims to synchronize perspectives on key issues within the Uzbek-Tajik agenda while identifying novel avenues for collaboration.
