The recent update from April 2024, from the World Chess Federation (FIDE) has revealed achievements for grandmasters of Uzbekistan, with four players securing positions within the top 100 globally.
Nodirbek Abdusattorov has notably risen to 4th place in the rankings, a significant improvement from his previous 11th place position. Meanwhile, Javohir Sindarov has seen a slight decline, now standing at 50th place compared to his previous rank of 36th.
Rustam Kasimdzhanov has secured the 48th spot, and Nodirbek Yoqubboyev holds the 75th position, further consolidating Uzbekistan's representation in the global chess community.
Abdusattorov also holds the first place in the official ranking among young players, while Sindarov ranks sixth among young players, down from fifth place in March.
Earlier Daryo reported Abdusattarov's success at the Prague Chess Festival 2024 in the Czech Republic, where he emerged as the tournament champion.
