Uzbekistan Airways announced the introduction of a weekly flight service connecting Tashkent to Rome, Italy's capital city, beginning on March 31. This new route will include a stopover in Urgench.
Rome, recognized for its historical significance and artistic contributions, draws a considerable number of visitors. The city’s culinary offerings, notably its traditional Italian dishes such as pizza and pasta, are well-regarded. Uzbekistan Airways is currently providing flights to Rome, enabling passengers to explore this renowned destination.
The inaugural flights will initiate on Sundays as per the following schedule:
- Depart Tashkent at 14:00 local time (GMT+5)
- Arrive in Rome at 19:50 local time (GMT+1)
- Depart Rome at 21:20 local time (GMT+1)
- Arrive back in Tashkent at 06:20 the following day
Passengers may secure one-way tickets starting from UZS 3.6 mn ($285), with round-trip fares on the Tashkent - Rome - Tashkent route beginning at UZS 6.7 mn ($530).
