Uzbekistan is gearing up to host "Tourism Week" to promote regional tourism and celebrate Navruz from March 20 to 31, 2024, the Tourism Committee's press service reports.
Targeting Young Travelers
A key focus of the "Tourism Week" initiative is to encourage travel among young people. To achieve this goal, special trips and events will be organized for university students, schoolchildren, and young individuals with disabilities. These curated experiences will provide them with the opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks of Uzbekistan through seasonal preferential tourism packages.
The organization of "Tourism Week" aligns with the directives outlined in the Presidential Decree issued on April 30, 2022.
Promoting Domestic Tourism
By offering discounted rates and facilitating special events during "Tourism Week," Uzbekistan aims to stimulate domestic tourism and encourage local travelers to explore the diverse attractions within their own country. This initiative not only contributes to the growth of the tourism industry but also fosters a deeper appreciation for Uzbekistan's cultural and natural heritage among its citizens.
Notably, the "Tourism Week" program is designed to be inclusive, catering to individuals from various segments of society, including students and those with disabilities. By ensuring that travel opportunities are accessible to all, Uzbekistan underscores its commitment to promoting inclusivity and equal participation in tourism-related activities.
