Kazakhstan has inaugurated its maiden tourism representation in India at the prestigious South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) exhibition held in New Delhi, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan reported. The ceremony, attended by esteemed dignitaries including government officials and tourism heads from various nations, marked a historic moment for both countries.
The initiative saw Kairat Sadvakassov, Chairman of NC Kazakh Tourism, officially appointing Salvia Promoters' head, Prashant Chaudhary, as the representative of Kazakh Tourism for the Indian market. Salvia Promoters, renowned for its expertise in promoting Central Asian and Russian markets, will now extend its portfolio to include Kazakhstan, furthering its role as a vital conduit for facilitating tourism between the two regions.
Expressing enthusiasm for the collaboration, Sadvakassov highlighted the strategic significance of tapping into India's burgeoning outbound tourism market.
"For Kazakhstan tourism, this marks a pivotal stride in international promotion. With India emerging as one of the most promising outbound tourism markets globally, having a dedicated representative here is paramount," remarked Sadvakassov.
In reciprocation, Chaudhary conveyed his honor in representing Kazakhstan's tourism interests in India, expressing optimism about the positive impact on bilateral tourism development. The collaboration aims not only to attract Indian tourists to Kazakhstan but also to foster mutual representation in the respective tourism landscapes.
“It is a great honor for me to represent Kazakhstan tourism for Indian tourists. I hope that my many years of experience will have a beneficial impact on the development of tourism between the two countries,” Prashant Chaudhary voiced.
The partnership's inaugural activities include participation in the SATTE exhibition, with plans underway for hosting Indian travel journalists in Kazakhstan later this year. These endeavors seek to showcase Kazakhstan's rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and burgeoning tourism infrastructure to Indian audiences, paving the way for increased visitor footfall.
Experts foresee growth in the Indian outbound tourism market, with projections indicating over 50 mn Indian tourists by 2026. Chaudhary believes Kazakhstan stands to benefit from this trend, with the potential to welcome up to 500,000 Indian tourists annually by the same year.
